Exciting things coming up...

Well the most obvious, and most exciting, thing coming up is Fall Break! All of us in the office could seriously use a break, and I'm sure most of the other students on campus feel the same way.

As I'm sure you all know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Last night, the clinic sponsored a Womenless Beauty Pageant to raise money. Our very own sports editor Andy Hess competed in the pageant, and I filmed it for the Web site. Unfortunately I was laughing so hard that there's some serious camera shaking, so I'm going to have to try my hand at video editing.

I believe I have narrowed down the list of Pillow Talk applicants, and I'm about to call the writer now to offer the job. So hopefully, Pillow Talk will be reappearing soon.

Have a great Fall Break!

New blogs!

In my first column of the year I said that we would be getting new blogs for the Printz. It's finally done! I know it took a little while, but I did not realize how crazy the first few weeks would be. We're settling down into a nice little groove and things are running smoothly, so hopefully the blogs will become more of a priority.

The blog you're reading now is my blog. Each of our section editors will have their own blog that is linked to mine (to the left of this post). So if you want to read about what a certain section is planning or what a specific editor thinks about something, check out that section's blog.

Rebecca Macias, our photo editor will be responsible for keeping her blog updated with pictures that she takes around campus and can't use in the paper or just pictures that inspire her.

As I'm writing this, the editors are working on creating their blogs, and hopefully by the time you're reading this all the links will be up and working.

Since I don't have a specific section that I work for, I'll be talking about a little of everything. If there's anything you want to see in the paper or you want to know about how the paper works, leave me a comment! If you love something in the paper, if you hate something in the paper, leave me a comment! I want to know what people think and what people what.

Look for a new post on each of the blogs at least once a week.

Thanks for reading!
